Tab Beauregard

Tab has spent most of his adult life helping families achieve the dream of homeownership while doing it in an affordable way. As a dedicated licensed Mortgage Loan Officer for over 15 years, he analyzed thousands of consumer’s financials and helped guide them through the maze of the modern mortgage markets.
In 2015 he joined the team at Genworth Mortgage Insurance to further their mission and has been recognized for several accomplishments, most recently earning the coveted Regional MVP award in 2020. Tab earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University and earned his Certified Mortgage Bankers designation from the MBA in 2020. A husband and father of three daughters, Tab and his family have purchased and renovated over seven homes themselves.

Sherri Eckles

Sherri is the Senior Vice President of Single Family Programs at the State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA). She oversees the Agency’s product and new business development, automated underwriting system, mortgage lending originations, operations and quality control.
Sherri is responsible for the Agency’s strategic planning and compliance with state and federal regulations and is dedicated to increasing access to homeownership for underserved constituents. Sherri has an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. She has a 25 year career in affordable housing in the public and private sector and is on the Advisory Board for HomeSmartNY, a statewide coalition of nonprofit housing counseling agencies.

Treasurer

Joseph Senecal

Joe has had a 30-year career in the financial services and mortgage banking industry and is Treasurer of SEFCU Mortgage Services. He began his career at KeyCorp rising through various Finance positions. After leaving KeyCorp he was Named Treasurer of Home Funding Finders, Inc.
Joe is an alumnus of Siena College graduating with a Business Administration – Accounting degree. He has taken several American Bankers and Mortgage Bankers Association courses. He is a lifetime resident of the area and had served on several not-for-profit boards.

Secretary

Michele Teague

Michele has been in the mortgage business for 30 years. From processing, underwriting, and operations management to her many years in the mortgage insurance world. She loves this business and is currently enjoying the role of helping Homestead Funding grow and expand nationally.
Michele has lived in Guilderland for most of the last 20 years. Her son Jeremy is a CBA and Loyola University graduate. Her son Liam and daughter Lillie both attend Guilderland High School and are very involved in sports. She likes to stay busy and active, enjoying lake life as much as possible on the Great Sacandaga. She loves her family, dogs, job, traveling, and living life to the fullest!

Elizabeth Cheney

Elizabeth, also known as Lisa, has been in the mortgage industry since 1991. Currently she is employed with Homestead Funding as their Corporate Trainer and has been with Homestead since 1997. Elizabeth also owns National Mortgage Learning Institute where she is the President.

Executive Secretary

Megan Izzo

Megan has been involved with the MBA NENY for the past several years, first serving as the Treasurer in 2015 and in 2019 transitioning to the role of Executive Secretary. In 2010 Megan began her career in the mortgage industry serving as a processor, underwriter, operational manager, and mortgage quality control before moving into the world of Enterprise Risk Management in 2018.
What she enjoys most about her job at CAP COM and role with the MBA is collaborating with others to help bring their vision to life and do it in the most efficient way possible. Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vacationing, cooking and shopping.

Joe DeLeva

With nearly two decades of experience consisting of positions in sales, secondary, operations and management, Joe has developed a deep understanding of how to improve an organization’s efficiency and profitability. In his current role as Vice President, Mortgage Operations Senior Manager at Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company he oversees operations ensuring smooth and effective pipeline management processes and continuously seeks out efficiencies to achieve department goals.
Joe's long-term commitment to the mortgage business, from helping families achieve their homeownership dreams, to helping colleagues develop into strong mortgage professionals, as well as networking with other key players in our field make him a valuable member of the board.

Melissa Savage

Melissa is the Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Operations at Sunmark Credit Union (SCU). Melissa has been with SCU since 2004. She started her Sunmark journey as a Mortgage Processor, since holding and excelling at several positions with increasing responsibility throughout her tenure.
During her 16 years of lending experience, Melissa has worked from Loan Origination all the way through to Secondary Market sales and Loan Servicing. Melissa has been the lead on several projects which includes, New Residential Mortgage Products, System Conversions, Credit Union Mergers, Paperless Initiative and Hybrid E-Closings. Her experience, product knowledge, attention to detail and ability to build teams make her a valuable and sought after member of the Mortgage team. She has been instrumental in facilitating a great “Member Experience” to SCU members and staff.

Michael Galligan

Throughout his two decades in real estate lending, Michael Galligan has blended business skills, regulatory knowledge, and consumer satisfaction. He serves as Vice President of Compliance at Broadview Credit Union and is a MBA certified Mortgage Compliance professional. Mike's areas of expertise include laws and regulations impacting financial institutions and mortgage entities.
As Vice President of Compliance Mike focuses on adherence with Federal and New York State laws and regulations which impact the operations of the credit union. He creates and manages programs that address regulatory risk for Broadview’s $8 billion dollar business. Mike earned a B.A. in Psychology is from Siena College. He holds certifications in Mortgage Compliance and Quality Control from AllRegs Academy. He also holds a Certified Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). Mike is a member of the New York Mortgage Bankers Association Board and lives in Niskayuna, NY.

Paul Hurley

As a longtime resident of the capital district, Paul is proud to have served the area in the mortgage field since 1992. In addition to originating, he has managed, mentored and coached new and experienced loan officers. In his current role as a CRA specialist for M&T bank he has been able to use his experience in and passion for the mortgage industry to assist first time home buyers to reach their goal of home ownership.
He enjoys a good relationship with the housing agencies serving the needs of first time homebuyers. From teaching at homebuyer seminars to serving as a resource for the councilors, Paul is able to expand my connections and assist more future homeowners.

Jacqueline Goralczyk

Jacki is a partner of DeAngelus Goralczyk, PLLC, with a diverse and technical background. She devotes her practice to helping clients navigate complex data privacy and cybersecurity regulatory regimes in a creative and effective manner. Leaning on her experience in the real estate, title and financial services industries, Jacki counsels clients on a wide variety of regulatory requirements.
Jacki received her Juris Doctor from the Albany School of Union University and began exploring her keen interest in data privacy and cybersecurity and it relates to the financial services, real estate and title industries. Jacki’s passion led her to teach data privacy and cyber security law at Albany Law School after receiving her Masters of Legal Letters in Cyber Security and Data Privacy. She was the first graduate of the program from Albany Law. Jacki is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (“CIPM”), as certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Bob Wilson

With more than thirty years in the mortgage industry Bob has added tremendous value to borrowers, real estate agents, financial planners, attorneys and others tied to the real estate field. He is a source of great knowledge on strategy and loan products alike. He has helped to start networking groups and think tanks where ideas could be shared and the presence of all businesses in the group could learn from each other.
Bob joined Women’s Council of Realtors ten years ago and co-chaired five fundraising golf events. He has been a valuable member of the Capital Region Chamber for five years and is an active co-chair.

Tom Herkenham

​Tom brings both practical experience and forward-thinking solutions to the closing table with over three decades of real estate and mortgage banking experience. A graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh (B.S. – Business Management and Economics) he earned her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.
To date Tom has held prestigious roles with various local banks and mortgage companies as well as several law firms. In his prior roles Tom was a key member of the senior management team of a billion-dollar national mortgage bank as well holding key roles in quality control, compliance, and credit. Tom is an active member of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce. Tom is also a past member of the Empire State Mortgage Bankers Association Document Task Force where he aided in making NYS mortgage banking disclosures more streamlined.
